Why are celebrities so frigid about posing nude? i mean there bodies are no different from ares except maybe for a bit of surgery. I so wish jessica alba posed nude, shes got such a great sexy body.

Maybe they're affraid to be bombarded by porn directors offers and be categorized a porn actor(ess).
But I guess a celeb with a well established movie style shouldn't have too much to worry about for just one pose....I don't know...

Hmmm Good thread here MR. P!! Actually guys I think it is the poor self image they have of themselves. Thats why so many are way too damn thin now!!
Most that has?? posed nude in films might have been a body double instead of really say Jessica Alba?
Of course we all may get Lucky and she will pose Nude....Please Jessie???:D

They may also feel that to hide a little keeps the interest. In a country with a 10 second attention span, once Jessie flashes her "headlights" the interest will be over.
The problem is in waiting to long. Sarah Michelle Gellar rode the "too proud to pose nude" pony too long. Then her career tanked and she decided that if it was "artful" she would do it. By that time there were no offers on the table and now she can't get arrested in this town.
Jessie is good, but she is not that talented. She will have to play this one right or she will be like Farrah Fawcett and posing nude to try and make a come back, NOT because we all are interested.

I don't think anyone would lose interest in Jessica Alba if she posed nude...

Very good point SD!! I hardly notice her wearing clothes....wishfull thinking I guess!?;) :D
It's not about being celeb or not... not every woman want and can show herself nude to public... I don't have anything against those people who do it, but at the other hand I feel that it is also very normal for woman who don't...
It's not that they have complexes or something... there's some line for everyone and crossing this line is against their principles... for someone this line is more clear and close, for some it's more far and unclear... but there is line always... nothing wrong with that...
Personally I would never do it, because I don't want everyone in the world to view every part of my body... I think some of me must stay with me and only few people in the world will have a chance to see ;-)
But again... I don't have anything against people who think different way...

The thing about standing tall with the nudity thing is, that it is all well and good as long as your career is on the upswing. When it is declining and you change your mind, it is a real slam when nobody is interested.
Take for example Sarah Michelle Geller. When her star was on the rise nudity was a no-no. When she ran out of offers then the feelers went out for a nude scene that was "art." The problem was, by that time, there were no takers. Nobody wanted to pay the price for yesterday's news.
The same can be said for Cindy Margolis, one time most downloaded girl on the internet. Then we all moved on and when she FINALLY agreed to a Playboy shoot, nobody cared and it had to be so photoshopped we might as well look at someone else.
Jessica is at the high point of her career and she can call he shots and make the demands. Hollywood, however, is not kind to aging actresses. Particularly those who made demands. It a very short time there will be no interest in what lies beneath.
The the trick is to time it just right.
